Good day, I built a new PC using INTEL DP55WB mother-board with Windows 7 Home Premium OEM version. I am using a Logitech USB mouse and an old PS2 Smart Office EZ 8000 Keyboard with an PS2 to USB adaptor. The problem I am having is that the keyboard is not responsive when the PC wakes up from sleep mode. But the mouse is fully functional and to get the PC to work again I have to restart it using the mouse. The funny thing is that the problem is inconsistent, i.e. The keyboard will be funtional for a few number of wakes before it goes non responsive or may freeze at the first wake after the PC is started for the day. What could be the cause and the fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Hi, First I would suggest you to unplug the keyboard from the USB adapter, plug it properly and check if it helps. Method 1: I would also suggest you to check allow this device to wake the computer have a tick mark. Here are the steps: 1. Click Start, type Device manager in the search box. Go to Device manager.
Click on keyboard, it will display your keyboard, right click and go to properties. Select Power management.
Check Allow this device to wake the computer. Method 2: Try updating the drivers for your graphic card and check if the same issue occurs, here is the link: Method 3: Try running power troubleshooter and check if it helps, here is the link: Method 4: If this doesn’t help, then try creating a new power plan and check, here is the link: Azam – Microsoft Support.
